The Board
NATALIE
TAITE
Natalie Taite, was born and raised in the nation’s capital. She graduated from Carleton University with an Honours degree in Law and now works at the Department of Justice Canada as a Strategic Advisor with the Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Secretariat.
Her most recent role was an assignment as the Lead for Strategic Planning with the Federal Black Employee Caucus (FBEC), an organization that aims to address anti Black racism within the federal public service.
Her ultimate goal is to be disciplined and fearless in pursuit of the life she wants for herself and her family and helping others do the same.
SEM
ONYALO
Sem is an AI/ML architect and currently works at a consulting firm in Toronto. He has over 10 years of experience delivering modern enterprise solutions in a variety of industries. Sem specializes in building cloud data pipelines for reporting and analytics solutions and computer vision deep learning applications. He is a Computer Systems Engineering graduate from Carleton University in Ottawa.
Sem got into engineering because he read stories about Black inventors when he was a child and is passionate about bringing up the next group of young Black inventors after him.
DANIEL LACHANCE
Daniel is a marketing specialist living in Canada's National Capital Region. He obtained a bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Quebec and has since worked in various sectors, including private and public, ad agencies and business settings. As a marketing professional, he developed and managed digital marketing campaigns for dozens of businesses to help achieve their growth objectives.
He puts his experience to good use by promoting YBP’s programs and helping young black professionals advance in their career.
